coordinators report Dec. 26
Please high light Kyra Daily's name tag for allergies.
Brooklyn Shelly- please switch her name to Early Preschool, she was placed in late preschool on the sticker sheets.
We have not had a black curtain for the nursery window the last two weeks. It does help if it can be found or replaced.
Four of our aides did not show up and had not found replacements.
I believe we are low on napkins. The last two weeks we have had teacher's using them for snacks. They should probably be restocked. Unless there are some in a supply closet somewhere, I am just going by what is on our cart.
Enjoy the snow!

Sundays, Dec. 5 & 12
- Brendon Loux #182 needs to be added to the 6th grade class list and stickers.
- We need animal crackers and pretzels. Connie, I will pick up animal crackers today, because the nursery bin is empty. But if you want to grab a spare sometime to put in the storage room, that would be great because there's nothing in there. Pretzels too. Thanks!
- Mari and Myka Knepp will be staying in late pre-school for the school year, so that can be changed on attendance and stickers.
- Moses Clemens is moving to the 3rd grade class for this school year (due to lack of boys in his normal class) so I guess you can make those changes too.
- The Osborne kiddos can be removed from attendance.
- Jason and Renita Shelly are requesting permanant tags. Bryce (4/30/04) Brandt (10/18/06) and Brooklyn (1/19/07)
That's all for now folks. Christmas Blessings!

* Karin Cook switched with Cheryl Coulson in the nursery, so Cheryl will be helping on Nov 14th
* Myka & Mari Knepp can be changed to the Late Preschool attendance
* Brendon Loux is still not showing on the 6th grade attendance
* Chad Clemens requested that we move Moses from 4th to 3rd grade. On Sun he would not go to class because with Bennett leaving he remains the only boy in the 4th grade class :-( He has several friends in 3rd grade and would like to move down to be with his buddies. I think this is a fair request, but the changes will need to be made on the attendance and name tag sheets
* all the aids showed up with the exception of Sandra Arocho, but we were fine without her so it didn't pose a problem
* we are in need of more encouragement cards
* I did have a question about diaper changing in the nursery from Karin Cook (who I believe is fairly new to that role). Anyway, I did not know the answer, but thankfully was able to find it in the Coordinators Manual in the bin. I was VERY thankful for quick access to that binder, yet something in my memory (or lack of :-) says Blake was seeking to have that updated (Blake was that suppose to be my job??)
* a note for Jocelyn, I was talking with Ed & Connie and in the conversation realized that as the blog gets updated they receive an email notifying them. Scott and I would not be receiving emails when someone posts one the blog. I'm wondering if it's because we came on board after the blog was established, or maybe I neglected to set things up right when we registered? Whatever the reason, it would be nice to resolve it so that we can get emails. Our current practice has been to sign on the blog Sat night b/4 we serve and read through to see what we need to know before Sun morning. This past weekend we forgot to check the blog (oops) b/4 Sun and I was concerned there might be something we should know about and didn't. Also, just read your blog post tonight with the request to post things by Wed...good to know. So let me know if there is something on my end that I need to do so that we get emailed updates. Thanks!

Coordinators report Oct.31
Two names to add to the Early Preschool attendance sheet. Callie Herr and Noah Derstine. Noah is not "officially" a Derstine, but for all teachers and aides whom he will come in contact with, we want them to know he belongs to us. :)
We are missing the Nursery sign for outside the door. Galen quickly made one up two weeks ago.
Regarding the 5th Sunday and the aides for Myka and Sean. Would it be possible to list aides for them on the sheet for that Sunday. Possibly asking one of the aides already assigned them the other weeks. that way we would not need to bring in another person. I realize the 5th Sunday does not come along often but it does come up and I often feel like I'm scrambling to get people.
Blake had discussed with us the possibilty of assigning aides to certain classrooms ahead of time and that way they would know where to go from week to week. Upon thinkng that through more, Galen and I came to the conclusion, that it's a great idea and seems like it would make things run so smoothly, but just like this past Sunday we are switching aides around constantly depending on the size of the class, who is teaching, the gender of the aide and age etc. There are so many variables some weeks as to who goes where that we just felt that even if aides were assigned months ahead we would probably still end up having to switch things around. Plus, some aides like the variety of different class rooms from time to time. Any other thoughts are welcome.
Have a great rest of the week.

Coordinators report from Oct. 24th
We are still having numerous children crowding around our table picking up name tags as they are heading to class.
Just a few notes regarding name tags which may possibly be in the works already:
Ava Prosseda's name tag is still on the nursery list, but it looks like she has been moved to Early Preschool.
Julia Smith's name tag is on late preschool sheet but her name has been added to the Kindergarten class list.
Sebastian Araujo is on the nursery schedule but we could not locate a name tag for him. It could of been removed accidentally by another child but we could not find it.
Galen asked if a reminder could be sent to parents to, please take their child to the rest room before class to avoid the huge amount of children that are using the rest room during class. Galen feels like so much time is being wasted for the aides/teachers etc. and the constant disruption in the classes.
Is there an up to date Nursery procedure list made up somewhere in the nursery. We have many new faces working in the nursery and many younger girls who come out and ask us numerous questions and some of them we are not sure of the answers. Just inquiring if there is something written that would answer their questions.
We feel the aides assigned to Sean Dailey really should be guided as to how to best help him in class. This is just coming from some observations we made this past Sunday where he was assigned a personal buddy.

Posting Info
Hope your week is going great so far! First off, I want to say a huge THANK YOU for how each of you have been faithful to post necessary info to the blog each week! You are all doing such a great job communicating clearly and effectively. Having you post each week is a huge help and keeps things moving with CM. To that end, I just wanted to make one slight recommendation...if you are able, it would greatly serve to make the post earlier in the week (say like on Tuesday or Wednesday). The reason I'm mentioning this is because typically when the info is posted, it is on a Friday when all the CM administration is done, so the changes you are asking for in the labels wouldn't be done until the next week. I typically print the labels on Friday, so if I am able to get the changes early in the week, I can make them and you can have the updated sheets on Sunday rather than waiting 2 weeks.
If you have any questions, or if there is anything I can do to serve you, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks so much everyone!
Have a great day!
Jocelyn

Sunday, October 17th
- We are in need of about 5 more visitor letters to go on the CD's.
- Again, a classroom door needed to be unlocked for a teacher, so I think we just need to make sure that the set-up guys have an updated list of which classrooms we are using.
- James Allemans stickers need to be moved to Late Pre.
Jocelyn - if you have any questions about any of the sticker/attendance changes, don't hesitate to contact me and I'll try to make sense of my notes for you! Thanks!

Sunday, October 10th
Everything went pretty smoothly this week except for a decent amount of stickers not matching up with the attendance sheets. I will do my best to list the changes here:
- Imira Gorski needs to be moved to K class on attendance and stickers
- Sydney Herr needs stickers moved to K class
- Caden & Aaron Landis need their stickers moved to K class
- Alex Ripley needs his stickers moved to K class
- Gunner Freed and Ilse Seasholtz (nursery) were both missing from the sticker sheets
- James Alleman needs stickers moved to Late Pre
- Julia Smith needs stickers moved to Late Pe
- Dylan Reinford needs stickers moved to 1st
- Sean Dailey needs stickers moved to 2nd
- Isabelle Alessi needs stickers moved to 5th
We ended up with a very nice, fully-stocked first aid kit sitting on our CM table this week. Does anyone know where this came from? Are we to get rid of our old kit? I really don't think we need both. Any thoughts?
Blake - It seems that for the last couple of weeks, Jan has needed to come down the hallway to unlock classroom doors. Does the set-up crew need to be updated as to whick classes we are now using?
Jess Godshall would like to be added as an aide or a nursery worker if there are any spaces available.
I think that's all for now - Thanks! ~ Steve & Krin

Sunday, Sept 19th
So I'm not sure how much of this the Reeds will also mention when they post from today, but for what it is worth here is what took place on the 19th...
*There are two yellow cards #204/#211 with the last name Dahling on them, Becky Jones says they belong to her (step grandchildren I think?) and she would like them added to her #182, then they can be thrown away. She would rather have one card for all then three sets.
*We are out of the yellow visitor cards, so I made temporary cards out of pieces of scrap paper, but we really need some official cards made up
*the 5th grade teacher asked if they could have a new, updated set of scripture memory log sheets and encouragement card log sheets. The ones in the red binder are from last years class.
*there is/was only 1 visitor CD left, so we need more of those
*Dave & Tricia Mellinger requested on more copy of the book Big Truths for Young Hearts for Brendan Loux who was not on the 6th grade roster but is in that class, also Tricia wondered if you could order a few extra copies to have on hand for visitors
*Sean Dailey needs to be moved from the 3rd grade attendance to 2nd grade per Dave's request, they plan to keep him in 2nd grade for this year. His birthday is 8/31/02
*all our aides showed up (or at least sent subs in their place), so everything there went smoothly
*Amy Loux would like their son Brendan added to the 6th grade attendance as he will be participating in that class, he will also need to be added to the name tag label sheet
So there's our belated post, sorry for any inconvenience. Jane

Sunday, Sept 12th CM update
* need to add Gunner Freed (1/6/10) to Rob & Jess Freed's ID for the nursery
* James Alleman is on the K attendance and needs to be moved to Late Preschool (his bday is 6/24/06)
* Alex Ripley (9/2/05) needs to be moved from the LP roster to K (his parents want this), this is a good thing since the K class is very small and the LP is rather large
* Charlotte Coulsen did not show up so we put Kyle Clemmer in LP to help with Myka Knepp, then had Lianna B. & Alyssa M. pulled from servie to help in EP (thanks Blake for your hand with that)
* Sydney Herr is also going to move from LP to the K class so the attendance sheet will need to reflect that change
* the Muelners swapped with the Suarez's this past Sun & next, but she did not know which day's in Nov. the Suarez's will be taking yet
* in EP a little girl vomited but thankfully it was in an area that was easy to clean up, we had her pulled out of the class and had her parents paged
* Matthew Willis bumped his head pretty hard in class and we used one of the ice packs from the First Aid kit (but it didn't get cold)...I did not know until later that there is more located in the snack bin on the cart. I'm only saying this in case anyone else did not know that because I wouldn't have thought to look there.
That's the latest update, tune in next week as the story continues...

CM Blog for Sept. 5
- Ilsa Seasholtz needs to be added to the Nursery attendance sheet as well as the sticker sheet, #223
- Sydney Herr, Aaron and Caden Landis all will move into the Kindergarten class this coming Sunday. They are currently in LP, but have fall birthdays. Blake and parents all agree the children should move up. The LP class is quite large.
- Some medical issues to report. Aiden Smith had some asthma breathing problems while playing outside and Myka Knepp and Isabelle Loux both fell off swings and got some cuts and scrapes.
- We are in need of a seperate Red Folder for the 1st and 2nd grade class to be divided. We placed both attendance sheets into the one red folder, marked for 1st and 2nd grade.
- We could not locate the LP red folder anywhere. We placed the classroom attendance sheet in the bin along with the coordinators copies. We have it marked.
- There are still some ID yellow cards to be handed out as well as move up letters. Most of the cards and letter's left are families that we do not see very often or have stopped coming.
Have a good week.

coordinators report from Aug. 29th
Wish all area's went as well, but that would be asking for a little bit too much :)
This past Sunday again we had, I would say, atleast half the children not getting stickers until they are on their way too class. This is so disruptive to many areas of our role as coordinators. It seems that many are developing this "habit" of just picking them up on the way to class. We had to totally rearrange aides as one class jumped up atleast 7 students and we had to take time (twice) to copy more papers for a teacher who needed more then what she had planned on going off the first run through of our attendance sheet. The biggest challenge is having these children bombard our table when we are trying to work with aides, usually checking in later visitors etc. It really needs to be addressed.
Regarding the new 6th grade class. We have some very confused parents. We had at least 3-4 families ask us if there was going to be a class for their child? They all seemed confused as to what ever the move up paper said for that grade. We felt at a loss, we assumed there was going to be a class. It would be great to send an e-mail to all those parents to let them know exactly what is going on with that class.
The Knepp family would like all 3 of their children to remain in the late preschool class. Also, Dean is working to get someone to be with Myka on the 5th Sunday. There is no one scheduled specifically for Myka and Dean had someone in mind he was going to ask, they could not help this past week but we pulled Jess Miller. He will let us know who to put on the schedule.
We have been handing out the new ID cards. The Friedrichs are not putting their child in children's ministry so she told us to keep their card. She said to remove them from the list for now. #133
Remove Brandon Reinford from the aide list if you havne't already as he is in Oregon for a while. Also, Ethan Benner said to remove him as he is teaching right now.
One more plea to ask teachers to try and come to class a little early to greet the children and parents. Not sure if the worship time was longer before children were dismissed but we had a fairly large number of parents meandering down the hall with their children waiting to go into class and no one was around. The children had not been dismissed yet but there seemd to be many parents bringing the kids down awhile.
I keep thinking I am done and then I see one more note!! The Zimpfers asked me after class about the memory verses and the procedure for handing out prizes. The kids in the Kindergarten class told them, if they say one verse they get a prize and they can keep saying that same verse every week and get a prize each time. The Zimpfers didn't think that sounded on the up and up but weren't sure so they gave them prizes. Not sure if there is a general guideline to follow or if all teachers do their own thing.
I do believe that is all for now. I'm a little nervous for this move up Sunday!!! I hope your around Blake! :)

Sunday, August 22
Very busy day yesterday. Especially the nursery. We had one nursery aide call us in the morning and said she couldn't make it in that day, so we needed to replace her, and then there were two more "no-shows" for the nursery, so that really left us scrambling as parents were coming (and of course there were visitors!)
- We need to remove Ethan Benner (now a teacher) from the aide list, and Danny Meulners and Skye Beckley as well (college).
- Connie - we could use more animal crackers.
- Jocelyn, in the fall, please leave Julia Smith in the Kindergarten class (parent's request), and also, could you add Sebastian Araujo to the permanent roster? (birthdate 1/5/10) And also, could be have extra coloring sheets for the kindergarten class? They are usually about 5 sheets short each week.
- We need a new ink cartridge for our copier machine on our cart. It ran out this week as we were trying to make extra coloring sheets.
I think that's all. Enjoy your week! ~ Steve & Krin

Aug. 15th CM Report
Our nursery situation sounds like it is repeating itself. Last week we had 16 babies and 8 aides/helpers we pulled, in the room. Just way too many. It is very difficult to know what to say when visitors are apprehensive to leave their child because of how full it is in that room. It is very awkward for me to know what to say when the parent is hanging around in the hall and just unsure weather they feel okay to go back in the service.
Regarding aides: Danny Meulners and Kaitlyn were no shows on Sunday. I guess we can probably remove Danny, maybe you already did that. Also, we had two aides show up, Brandon Knechel and Monica Kemmerer who both said they were on for aides but were not sure when they were scheduled. We obviously used them both, but I wasn't sure if they get a schedule or are they to go to the website and find it out on their own. Just wanting to let you know these individuals had no idea when they were on.
A note from Stacy Smith regarding the Late Preschool class. She said they could really use some more toy cars/trucks, anything with wheels for the little boys in the class. The cars and trucks are favorites among the boys and she said they just don't have that many.
I guess that's all for now, onto my unending mounds of laundry!!!!

July 25, 2010
*we need more CD's for guests (is is possible to get some of the new worship CD?...that might be nice to offer)
*Lisa Landis had a family emergency so Chad came and then we placed Gabe Clemmer (who was on the aide list) in 3rd grade to help Chad. Thankfully it's one of the smaller class sizes so Chad felt Gabe would be enough.
*supply needs: Masking tape for hanging signs & napkins
*Bill & Kristen Palmer observed the 1st/2nd grade class with the Marculo's to get ready for their first Sunday teaching in Aug. Bill didn't seem to have any questions when we asked him how things went after wards
*Joyce Meyers filled in for the Rachel in the nursery. After service when asked how things went she did want it to be known that she is not interested in helping with the nursery again unless it is an absolute emergency. It was to hard on her physically.
*all the aides showed up ready to serve with the exception of Ethan Benner
*Tom and Rose Sebra would like to join Children's Ministry. They ONLY want to teach 4th or 5th grade. The have completed the Exploring Grace class, but they are not members. They would be happy to get their criminal reports processed so they can start as soon as possible. Can you teach if you are not a member?
And on a final note we had the most interesting scenario happen at the end of service. Scott was in the bathroom with Kevin Bennett helping with a few preschool boys and I was standing at the doorway of the girls bathroom because there were a couple preschool girls going potty (but there was not another adult women who could be in the bathroom with me, which is why I was standing outside)...anyway to make a long story short the service also ended at the same time and parents were coming down the hall with no one at the table...although I could see them coming while standing outside the bathroom. I wasn't sure what to do and then one of the little girls called for help...which really put a glitch in things. So parents are coming, no one at the table, Scott is in one bathroom and I'm needed in another...now what? Thankfully Gloria O'brien was one of the 1st parents coming who stepped in to help me. But that does leave me with a few questions on how to handle this if it were to ever come up again (which I can only imagine would be very rare). Also, what should I to do in helping a little girl if there is not another female adult present? In this case Kevin Bennett and Bob Seasholtz are teaching late preschool (with Sawyer Beckley as the aide to help with Myka Knepp) so there was no female to aide with the little girls needing the restroom. I almost wonder if we don't need to make sure that the youth aide in the class is always a girl when Bob & Kevin are on the schedule. It was a peculiar and challenging situation in the moment. Not something you could predict happening until it does.

Coordinators report from July 18
We are down to a small amount of napkins. Galen checked the supply closet and found a few but the teachers were using them a lot yesterday for snacks.
Regarding aide list: Please remove Renata Marculo from aide list as she is now teaching. Also, yesterday Tanya Pampel was not here as an aide, since she just gave birth. Maybe, we should check with her if she wants to be removed as well.
Yesterday the nursery was our biggest challenge. We had 12 babies in the room with 5 aides in the beginning to help with crying babies till they got settled. We dealt with parents not wanting to leave little ones due to too many "older" babies, and then we dealt with parents not really wanting to take their child out when we called their number, due to the child crying for an entire half hour. Galen and I both feel something has to change regarding this nursery set up with so many little ones and looking like we could have a lot more. There were atleast 3 regular attenders that were not there yesteday but would of added up to 15. I talked at length with Sarah Clemens. Her mother at one time was like a coordinator of the nursery she told me. It sounded like a position that we definately should look at putting back in place. Joanne dealt with the aides and the parents. Laying down guidelines for both to adhere to in using the nursery. Also, is there a possibility of splitting the nursery into two groups? Say, babies that can only sit and crawl, to walkers up to 2. We are just seeking to put out some suggestions. Maybe, this was just a really difficult week for the nursery and it has been relatively calm other weeks, but Sunday was challenging. Also, a heads up for next Sunday. I saw the nursery aide list is Liz Matthews, Kerry High (I wasn't sure if she was done or is still serving yet) and Monica Kemmerer (she is 13). Just want to make sure you have enough help.
To leave you with a positive comment, I had 3 nursery workers come early to serve. That was wonderful to have them in place as the babies started coming.
Have a good week.

Sunday, July 11, 2010
2. The Amaya's and the Miller's (D & S) need replacement cards
3. Aides: Gabriella Suarez did not show up. We needed an Aide for the 1st/2nd grade class (per Gustavo's request) because there were 23 kids, so we pulled Charlotte Coulson into 1st grade and asked Maggie Frank (who was not on the schedule, but very willing to help out) to cover Myka Knepp in the late preschool class. Also, Bob Seasholtz could not be in the Late Preschool class this week, but also wasn't able to find a replacement. We put Josh Clemmer in with Kevin Bennett, and then Maggie was in there with Myka...so Kevin thought he would be fine.
4. We did have a church attender without a card who wanted to head down the hallway. It would be great if we could get a sign hanging up soon notifying people they need an ID card to get beyond the table. It would just help back us up as we explain the security rule. I find most of these situations are either they want to get to the bathroom or speak to a friend they see down the hall.
That's all. Jane

Sunday, June 27th
- Blackshears have moved to KY and can be taken off the roster.
- Laurie Mart did not show, and had not found a replacement.
- Ethan B. did not show as an aide, and had found no replacement.
- Wybles need a new ID card #582
- Kemmerer's need new cards too #129
- There were only 8 babies in the nursery today, with 4 people serving in there, and it seemed perfect. Having an additional aide will definitely be helpful.
That's all for now!

Sunday, June 20th
Many families would like permanent tags for their kids - here they are:
- Knepps need for Mari (1-15-03) Late Pre
- Bennetts neef for Rachel (8-30-09) Nursery
- Allemans need for James (6-24-06) Late Pre & Marie (9-11-08) Nursery
- Blackshears need for Serena (11-1-09) and Celine (11-1-09) both Nursery
- Also, could Weigners be put back into system? (#164) Ezra (1-12-06) Late Pre and Noah (7-7-99) 4th Grade
The nursery was crazy. We now have 18 babies. There were 13 babies yesterday, and I felt so badly, because there were parents staying in there because I think they thought that there was just too many kids. We did get extra help, but with so many new babies entering the nursery, I really do feel that it's time to add another aide in there each week. I also would like to suggest that we move our 2 yr olds up now, instead of waiting until the fall. That would at least bring our Nursery roster down to fourteen. Those children would be:
- Jayla Blackshear
- Tyler Leyland
- Ava Prosseda (on July 10)
- Sebastian Wyble
I don't know if others are running into this problem or not, but when the Clemens are on (Chad and Sarah), there is often only one of them that shows up, and so far, we have never been informed ahead of time, which leaves us scrambling at the last minute to find someone as babies are coming. Also, Chad is sometimes on worship team which means that he needs to leave early, and we need to have someone jump in there at the end, which isn't always best for the little ones who are hanging on by a thread. Yesterday, Chad had asked Mr. Leyland to join him, which worked out fine, I just wasn't sure if he had even been cleared to work in CM (background checks and all).
And I think lastly, Deb had sent us a new Myka Knepp Aide Schedule a week or so ago, and Maddy Reed is not on that, and so now is not on the aide schedule anywhere. She says she'd still like to be, so I just wondered what we could work out there for her.
I think that's all for now. It really mostly was the nursery situation that was a frustration yesterday. And as Teresa noted last week, to have the nursery workers come back a little early, would be really helpful. With so many tiny ones in there who are now just sitting up, or needing to be held, it would just be nice to get our nursery to a more manageable level numbers-wise, and also to have an additional aide would be great. There's our two cents. = ) Have a great week guys!

Coordinators report from June 6
Faith and Mari Knepp have both been placed in the Late Preschool. Per the request of Dean and Gwen.
Regarding the Bible Memory verse check off list handed out to teachers. Galen had a variety of responses to the list. Some were thrilled, some teachers seemed to not have a clue. We thought it would be very beneficial to the children to have all teachers on board with this idea. Especially since it is a continuous running sheet, all teachers should be doing the same thing in regards to the Bible Memory.
We only had two aides show for the nursery. We had 10 babies. We pulled Olivia in as she was easily available and there were numerous crying little ones. It would be so helpful if the nursery aides came back atleast 5 min. before the dismissal of children. It would help in so many ways.
That's all for this week.

Sunday May 16th
- The Zimpher's would like permanent cards and nametags for Caiden (birthdate 7/17/09)
- We could use more encouragement cards - I gave the last of them out to one of the teachers this past week.
- I did not see Nic Prosseda to get Ava's birthdate. Maybe whoever is on the next two weeks, could try to get that.
- Hannah Thompson let us know that she will not be in church on May 30th, so whoever is coordinating that day, will need to slip an extra aide into that class to help Gloria. Thank You!
- Lastly, Jane Miller had a great idea, that maybe we could have Jocelyn put a reminder in the Grace e-announcements, reminding parents to PLEASE let coordinators know if you have taken your child's sticker, but are choosing to keep them in the service.
That's all for now!

A BIG thanks to all of you for showing us the ropes and welcoming us to the team. We are excited!

Coordinators report from April 11
Jocelyn, Imira Gorski is late preschool, family ID #113, info for permanent name tag.
Regarding aides: Please remove Eden Suarez from the list. She did not show and her sister said to remove her. Becky Jones did not show, we might want to check with her as we often have to track her down. We did not go look for her as we were okay with aides. Just a note for aides, we only had one show up along with the crowd of children, we were atleast 5 min. into class time till the other's came. Possibly send a reminder to try and arrive promptly. I was scrambling there thinking no one else was coming.
The Matthews taught 1/2nd grade and expressed concern that this class needs to be split up. They felt it is too large to properly teach this many children and too keep control. In hindsight we should of put a helper in with them but the teaching list shows Liz is on with them but she was not in with them this past week. Possibly check with them if she is in fact going to help. Definately this coming week give them an aide. They had 23 in the class. They both seemed frustrated.
There was a broken yard stick in Kindergarten class. We left a note to the teacher and taped it, till we can replace with a new one.
The last two weeks we had situations where the ID number could not be put on the screen due to technical glitch or a song was up etc. The Millers and Galen and I thought it would be good to have a master list of family ID numbers and names to keep at the sound booth. We gave galen a number and he ran it up but wasn't sure who it was and they couldn't get it on the screen. Usher's would be able to help locate people if we can't get the number to come up. Just a good back up, especially with many new families.
We had two incident's where children got slightly hurt. Jane had suggested having an accident report kept in the file box just to cover the church. Something to think about.
Welcome Jane and Scott.
That's it for this week.

Coordinators update from April 4
Urgent need for more yellow visitor cards. We ran out with the second visiting family and tried to make up our own for the rest of the families.
We could use more of the letters to tape to the CD's that we hand out.
Al and Celeste Gorski would like a sticker made for Imira Gorski #113, she is their grand daughter.
Regarding aides, we had two not show up and Melissa Reinford immediately went into the nursery to take care of the little ones. That seems to be what she prefers, so maybe we should move her to the nursery aide list instead of the classroom list. Not sure what her understanding was as far as being an aide, but I think she wants to be in the nursery.
Enjoy the day,
Teresa

Coordinators report from Feb. 28
The 6th grade class will be back on their normal schedule for the month of March.
We only had one aide show up for Nursery duty. We had 9 babies. We pulled an aide from the class room list and used Kaitlyn Muelners as she was standing near the table and she was willing to help out. Two aides did show up at the end of the service. They were to fill in for two of the aides on the schedule who were sick but both of them forgot.
We used all our aides this week. I spoke with Gina and they like having two aides. One guy and one girl. The guys play more with the children and the girls enjoy reading books. It's a good combination, if possible.

Coordinators update from Feb. 21
Al and Celeste Gorski brought their grandaughter, Imiri Berry. Not sure if she has come before or has not been here for a while but they were looking for a permanent name sticker for her. They are number #113
Also, Nick Prosseda was looking for name tags for his daughters Giavanni and Ava. I believe we had them on the class lists previously but maybe they have not been coming for awhile.
We did not need as many aides this week as the Eckburgs filled that role in EP and the McGraths whole family was teaching 1st/2nd so no aides were needed in those classes. Lianna Reinford came to the table and said she was to be helping as an aide. She said her mom called and signed her up.Not sure what to do about that. We seem pretty well set for aides right now. We sent her back as well as two regular aides on the list.
Please note food allergy for Anna Osbourn, milk, eggs and nuts, #140.
Blake, we were told by Brandon that there were some handouts at the end of the service on Sunday. Just wondering if they got passed along to the teachers and helpers? We didn't see any ushers but then we didn't know about it till we got home. Just checking.
Photo copier was used and greatly appreciated.
Till next week.

February 7th & 14th
- For whomever is on for the rest of February, there are extra coloring sheets for this month in the "extra schedules" folder in our bin.
- Mellingers need new ID cards (ID #119)
- Please switch Joshua Rudloff from the 1st/2nd grade class to the kindergarten class.
- The only real issue this past week, was made known to us after CM was actually over. Someone who had talked with Gina Yaekel came to us, and shared that she was really upset over today. First of all, they didn't have an aide, which I didn't realize. I had assigned them one, but then as the big rush came down the hall, we didn't realize that their aide didn't show up. They never came out to say that they were in need of help, so we weren't aware of the situation, or that they were feeling overwhelmed. The worst part is that we actually sent aides back to the service that day because we had an over-abundance. The people who shared all of this with me, said that they Yaekel's aren't really the type to "speak out" or let others know if they are feeling overwhelmed or in need. I guess she just kinda turns it all inward, but then was really upset after class was over. They also said something to the affect that they felt overwhelmed the week before also, and I know that we had an aide in there that week. So anyhow, I think we just need to be sensitive to their need for extra help, and maybe give them 2 aides when possible? I really feel horrible about this - feeling like we didn't do our job, and don't want them to think that we are unsupportive to our teachers. We definitely had plenty of aides, I just wasn't aware that their's didn't show up. I wanted to go to her and apologize, but it was said that maybe she would feel even worse if she knew that the person she confided in, went and told us. So, I'm not exactly sure what to do. Any suggestions?
Anyhow, I think that's all for now. I just wanted to inform whoever is on next, of that situation. Thanks!

Inventory lists
Coordinators report from Jan. 17th
We were fine with aides although two of them did not show up. Sam Reinford and Tanya Pampel.
Amy and Neil Frank need a new yellow ID card #121. There are 5 yellow ID cards in the box for the Millers, McAndrews, Crouthamels, Fishers and Moyers. These are all DaySpring families. I went over the names with another member from DaySpring and she believes these families have all settled elsewhere. So, maybe at the end of January we can get rid of these cards and take names off of attendance sheets.
Not sure if a new set up crew was on this Sunday as many bins were in the wrong rooms. Galen just did some rearranging before classes.
Regarding teacher supplies. The 1st and 2nd grade class had no crayons in their bin. We borrowed the kindgarten classes crayons. I guess we should figure out a supply list for each grade and try and get their bins stocked with what they need. Maybe that is in the process. Just wanted to note the need.
I think we should give an award to Gloria O'Brien. She is the only teacher who has faithfully signed in each Sunday in January!! :)
I think that's it.
Have a good week.

Coordinators report from Jan. 10
The first part of the morning went very smooth. A few returning visiting families but nothing out of the ordinary. Things felt like they fell apart once the children started heading to their classes. I had been asked for an aide in the 1st/2nd grade class as one of the teachers could not be there today. This would of been fine had my aides showed up. 3 of our aides never showed up and we could not find them. I believe the Suarez's are in Florida? Eden and Gabriella were on today and so was Becky Jones who we could not find. We have had to track Becky down before. This is where I get a little stressed . I know we have lots of people wanting to help but it's this last minute, trying to think of who to ask, trying not to use the same people all the time and today we seemed to have numerous young children crying off and on all morning. We pulled in Elyse as it's just easier to ask her then pull someone from the service. She was fine to help out. EP, LP and 1st and 2nd had aides. the kindergarten class was okay. A note for the nursery. I believe there were 4 adults in there today and they were all needed. They may have had only 4-5 babies but I think they were all crying for a good while in the beginning. Just note that I think two of the Sunday's we only have two persons scheduled for the nursery.
Right after we got everything calmed down with the aide situation we had an EP aide come out and tell us one of the children threw up all over the aide and the floor. This was a small fiasco to say the least. We did not know what to do with all the kids as there was really no other place to move them and we didn't want to combine them with the other preschool class. We pulled Jan from the service and he got out his shopvac, rubber gloves and chemicals and cleaned up the mess. Galen reconfigured the border panels and gave the class a smaller area away from the soiled area. Upon talking with the mom, the child had told her before class that she did not feel well. Another sibling was in the service because she had just been sick and they did not want her in the class room yet. I must confess Galen and I were extremely frustrated with the situation. We do not know how to convey to parents to please do not put their children in class if they are at all not feeling well, if they can help it. We totally understand children get sick very spontaneously at times. Ours have done it. But, if your child tells you they do not feel well, please take others into consideration at that moment. We felt so bad pulling Jan, yet again from the service. The teachers did so good at trying to keep things in control with all the cleaning and moving going on around the children.
A note of thanks to Jocelyn for the second sheets attatched to the attendance sheets. Thanks so much. I love it.
Have a good week everyone.
