Replay of Sunday, August 8, 2010

It was another crazy morning , this time the nursery. We had several visitors again this week with babies...so, their screams added to the couple of usual criers we have made for a stressful start. All the nursery aides were occupied trying to console a screamer with more parents waiting to hand their baby over so I went in to try to help. After a little time in there I needed to get working on attendance so I brought the child out with me and Ed walked the halls with him. Denise Randolph, who was a nursery aide, ran to the ladies room but I think she was just trying to escape for a few minutes! haha. Ed pulled two additional aides into the nursery and they all hung in there. My hat's off to Denise, Kay, Alana, Gabriella and Charlotte! Bad part of it all was, I just finally finishing taking attendance 10 minutes before the service was over - so security was a little lacks. Thankfully, it was not an issue.

Julie Bell plans to bring the first aid supplies this Sunday. Steve and Krin you can look for them. Also, Ed wanted me to tell everyone he put the extra coloring sheets in the plastic bin behind the burgundy 6th grade binder. I took a new bag of animal crackers last Sunday and plan to bring more pretzels this Sunday.

Ed and I love the new supply cart. What does anyone else think?

Also, the Visitor Sign-in Cards we needed were not there so I had the visiting families write the needed info. on a sheet of paper. Maddy told me when we got home Sunday, that we saw the Visitor Cards laying on the info. table in the Hub. Steve and Krin, you might want to go see if they are there again this week if they are not on the coordinator table when you arrive.

Several children forgot their name tags again. Is it possible to put a reminder on the
e-announcement about this? Last, Becky Jones would like Dana Dahling and Erica Dahling added to their family ID(#195). These girls are now Sierra Jones' step sisters and all come together when they come. Dana and Erica are both in the 5th grade class & should be added to that name tag list.

That's all for now,
Connie
