Hi, Galen, Teresa, Scott, Jane, Steve, Krin, Blake and Jocelyn,

This morning was quiet. Only one thing to share for future weeks...apparently the Pennview teacher who occupies the classroom we use for 5th grade is a little bummed about the way we leave her room. She has drawn a layout of her room and taped it to her dry erase board in the front of her class and expects the room to look like the drawing. The Sebras who taught in Feb. are aware of this but as we change teachers month to month we need to remember to pass the message on.

Also, several families I have not seen for awhile and I was wondering what Jocelyn or Blake's thoughts were on taking them out of our system. They are...
#221 - Moore
#197 - Coleflesh
#212 - Rose
# 212 - Koenig
#219 - Cunningham
#204 - Prosseda

Oh, yeah, one more thing...we were unable to locate the 6th grade plastic box which contains their attendance folder etc. Trish Mellinger finally found it in the supply room on a shelf. Not sure how it got there but if in future weeks, any of you can't find it, you may want to start by looking there.

Jocelyn, I couldn't find you after church so I gave the Feb. attendance papers to Julie Bell. Jeremy will bring them to the office Monday morning.

Hope you all have a good week. I believe Galen and Teresa are up next!

Sunday, February 19th

We had ample aidesand things went smoothly. Early Pre-School was under control this week but apparently last week they had a lot of criers so Steve and Krin took some aides from nursery and moved them into Early Pre-School. This option is something to keep in mind for future weeks if the same situation occurs. Nursery attendance is low right now so we have this flexibility.

Matt and Katie Witter would like to be put in the system and obtain permanent family ID cards. They put Josiah in the nursery yesterday for the first time. Josiah's birthday is 9/15/10 and he is allergic to strawberries and apricots. Their phone number is 267-664-2492.

Iris Xie would also like a permanent number and card. Her son is Jonathan Cheng. He is in 5th grade however, I failed to get any other info. for him. I will work on that next Sunday. Sorry Jocelyn.

Knaubs and Stehrs each need another set of permanent ID cards printed - both are lost.
Schwenks and Ordenanas need just one permanent ID card printed - 1 is lost.

Pretzels and animal crackers are restocked.

I checked on supplies in the supply card and they seemed fine. I would agree with Krin though that the memory verse prizes for the early and late preschoolers are a little lacking. Maybe Krin or I can purchase a few new items if that is okay with you Blake.

As far as I know, the children who were being cared for during worship as well as church did well. I did not hear anything negative. Oh, Blake, I had Justin pass out the snowman craft supplies to the Early and Late Pre-school classes during worship but forgot about checking back into this. Justin said he left the box in the Early Preschool class but I do not know if there were any supplies leftover. Sorry for forgetting about this.

Just so no one gets confused with the coordinator schedule. Ed and I will be on again this coming Sunday as we switched our Feb. dates with Krin and Steve.

Sorry this is late!

OK, blogging is definitely not my strength. I realize, after seeing Krin's post, that I never posted for either of our two weeks.

Just a couple things:

1) Brian has requested that Isaac Knaub be changed to the early preschool class.
2) Dan & Jen Herb need new ID cards
3) We are in need of new white board markers.

I agree with Krin, there has been a flux of visitors in the past few weeks. If I had remembered to post I would have noted we do need more CD's and welcome letters and snacks.

That's it! Thanks, Jane

Sunday, Feb. 5th

Sunday went fine. Had quite a few visitors with the church plant visiting us. Just a couple of notes:
  • We could use more CD's and welcome letters for guests - we are down to one left.
  • Connie, we have one bin of pretzels left, and no more animal crackers.
  • Blake, could I purchase a few things to restock the prize bin for the preschoolers? A couple of late preschoolers said their memory verse this past week, and when I went into the prize bin, it was kinda lame.
  • Jesus Arocho subbed for 2nd grade this week, and Sandra was his assistant. They didn't know about supplying snack (the kids filled them in) and so we got a bag of animal crackers out of the closet for them. Sandra was wondering if there is something to hand out to teachers who are filling in, so that they know those kind of details.
  • We could use some extra encouragement cards to keep in our bin.

I think that's all for now!

Steve and Krin
