Sunday, April 24th

Hello Coordinators, hope you're all having a good week.

Jocelyn, I am so sorry...I forgot all about blogging until now and I know you'd like us to do it earlier in the week. Hopefully, you can still get this done for Sunday and I'll try to do better next time.

Just a few things:
Kiley Seeley moved up to Late Preschool
Carissa Seeley moved up to Early Preschool

Jason and Andrea Schwenk requested a permanent ID card. They are now #471 and they have 4 children: Johanna (11/18/03) in 1st grade
Salome (2/14/05) in Kindergarten
Jael (8/23/07) in Early Preschool
Moriah (4/11/09) in Early Preschool
Ezra (12/29/10)

Things went rather smoothly except for a little confusion regarding care of the Knepp children. Ed was told previously that Dean and Gwen were now going to schedule people to be with their kids in the gym and it was no longer going to be our responsibility but then they came back to us wondering where their helpers were. We were short Myka's assigned helper and we didn't have any spare aides because classes were large, maybe due to Easter, so our son Justin went into the gym with them along with Michaiah Hughes who just came back to the table and offered extra help if we needed it, which we did. Does this need to be discussed with the Knepps again or did Ed just misunderstand? What does anyone else know about this situation?

That's all for now. Gotta go so I can get up early to catch the royal wedding!
Good night,
Connie

Response to April 17th

Hello Coordinators,

This week Blake met with Brooke Dailey to clear up the situation from last week that Teresa blogged. We won't encourage parents separating other children in the class except their own child, as Brooke admits she did incorrectly. He also spoke with the teachers and things have been clarified for the future - there is no need to be separating the Miller's or Knaub's boys in future classes. It will be handled on a week to week basis with the parents being involved, particularly the dads. In short, everything has been clarified and resolved from last week.
Please see Blake if you have any other questions.

Thanks so much for serving so faithfully!

sorry my info came through all in one paragraph. I didn't type it like that, not sure what happened. Your challenge for the day. Deciphering all my points!!!!! Teresa

Coordinators report from April 10 and 17th

We need more napkins and also pretzels and animal crackers. Bob Seasholtz had asked if we have plastic water pitchers anywhere to use for the late Pre class. He thought we had some before that he had used to fill up with water for their drink. He said it makes it so much easier for them to get cups filled. Just questioning status of Brian Fath, Late Preschool. He is on the attendance sheets but has no sticker with his name. He has not been here the two weeks we were on, just questioning the status. Should his name be removed from the attendance sheets? Jocelyn, the total number of Early and Late Preschool classes are 31. We need more yellow CM visitor ID cards, only a few left. Sean Obrien moved into the K class. Please note change. The two weeks we were on we had issues both weeks with kids racing in the halls, having to be spoken to numerous time by us as well as other church members. parents are all on worship team or elsewhere serving. No adult supervision!!! Dave Alderfer is away Easter sunday. Dan and Linda are teaching for him, 5th grade. Jason and Andrea Schwenk #471, requested permanent ID cards and stickers. Jan and Becky Landis #172 need new ID cards, lost their card. Brooke Daily came to us after placing Sean in his class. She was very upset. She said, she had spoken to Blake and shared that Judah Knaub and Andrew Miller should be seperated in class and sit up front, there had been issues with them mocking Sean, both of these boys are leaders in the class and she did not want everyone "following this example. She stated this was to be communicated to all teachers in the 2nd grade. She told us she could not go back into the service until Galen or I went and remedied the situation as both boys were together and the teachers had no idea about this problem. She also mentioned numerous times her and Kim Knaub had discussed this and agreed on this solution. Galen went and explained all this to the 2nd grade teacher outside in the hallway. She did agree the two boys probably should be seperated, only because they tend to fool around together but she had no idea about the issue with Sean. She did seperate them. After class was over Kim Knaub came to our table, very confused as to why her son had to be given an assigned seat. We explained everything Brooke had shared with us. She was aware of Brooke's concern and is wanting to do what is best for Sean, but she was very upset herself, as she was totally unaware of this whole decision to seperate the boys. We felt totally helpless. Kim was not upset with us just wanting to talk to Blake more and try and work this out. We felt so bad for the teachers, Jess Freed and Kristen Palmer as they were caught in the middle just like us and I would appreciate it Blake if you could apologize to them as I'm sure it was just as awkward for them when Kim questioned them on something we all thought she was aware of. Blake if you could e-mail all of us after you speak with both of these parents, how to proceed that would be great. Brooke expressed, this procedure is to be passed on every week from teacher to teacher, so please let us know what decision is made and how best to handle it. Thanks, Teresa
